Okoume plywood has for decades been the most requested plywood on the Dutch market for durable finishing carpentry. This okoume comes mainly from Gabon in Central Africa, where logging is strictly regulated by the government. Because the wood is fine-grained and has a low density, the plywood board is excellent to machine and lacquer. The warm, soft pink colour of the veneers and the attractive figure are much appreciated. The board is ideally suited for use in the Dutch climate.
