Fire-retardant chipboard (FR) is specially developed to be more resistant to fire. During production, the wood fibre mixture is combined with fire-retardant additives. These make the chipboard less likely to catch fire and help it perform better when exposed to heat. The result is a board material that meets important fire safety standards. Fire-retardant chipboard is widely used in interiors where extra safety is required, such as offices, schools and other public spaces.
